Want to Talk About Your Event?

Hi, I’m Ian Campbell

I’m a guitar player and singer and have been fortunate enough to play music as a pastime and profession for a number of years now. These days, I spend a lot of time songwriting and recording, and I’m also available to play weddings, parties and special events. So if you’re throwing a party and are looking for music and a memorable experience, I’m your man.

My repertoire extends across the majority of popular genres for parties and events. Think jazz, acoustic, pop, rock, classics and blues. Whatever you’re looking for, my goal is to make sure that your event has music that you and your guests are going to enjoy.

I can just show up with my guitar and a small amp or I can build up a full one-man band show with lights and everything. I’m happy to work with you to create the perfect music experience to bring your vision to life and complement your event.

Frequently Asked Questions

My baseline cost is $1,000, which includes all the setup, gear, travel within 200 miles from Dover, VT, and the first two hours of your event. After that it’s a straight cost of $300 per hour. Nine times out of ten, there aren’t any additional costs. The only time there might be changes is if you would like additional musicians to join me at your event, or if travel is more than 200 miles from Dover, VT.

Yes. I’ve done hundreds of private events over the course of my career. I’ve played everything from weddings to funerals to corporate parties to house parties.

Absolutely, I’m happy to! I’ve acted as Emcee for plenty of events and managed everything from simple time tracking to let people know when the bar is open or dinner is about to be served all the way through to acting as auctioneer. Depending on how much you need me to do as Emcee, there might be an additional cost — just reach out and we can discuss it.

I play public shows from time to time and you’re welcome to come to any of those. You can also check out the promo video above or head over to my YouTube channel to see some of the performances I’ve recorded.

It’s possible that I might have multiple events in the same day. My policy is to make sure they’re always at least two hours apart and never more than an hour away from one another. This ensures that even if one event runs a bit late, I still have plenty of time to get set up and ready to play on time.

I will provide all of the equipment that I’ll need to perform for your event.

For a basic setup, I’ll only need about 75 square feet. If I need more in the way of lights and equipment, the space requirement can go up to 200 square feet.

Unless it’s a really obscure song, I should be able to find the music and references I need to learn it and perform it. If it is really obscure, then I might need some help finding it.

I can wear anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit to a tuxedo. When we go through our booking confirmation call, we’ll discuss the style of dress you’d like.

For a basic setup, it usually takes about 30 minutes. If it’s more intricate with lights and sound, then it might take an hour or so.

The show must go on! Unless I’m down with something drastic, I’ll be there. If I do have to cancel for illness, I can reach out to my network of performers to find someone to fill in for me or refund your payment in its entirety.

I understand that things happen. You can cancel all the way up to the day before your event if you need to. We do take a deposit to hold the date and that is non-refundable, but as long as you give me 24 hours notice, you won’t be on the hook for the full payment.
